Tadhg is an Associate Professor in the School of Biomolecular and Biomedical Science in University College Dublin where he leads a research group focused on gastrointestinal pathogens. At UCD he has previously served as Head of Microbiology as well as Associate Dean for Study Abroad in the College of Science and is currently Chair of the Student Finance Committee. He previously served as a board member of the UK based Microbiology Society from 2017-2022 where he also served as Chair of their Professional Development committee.
He holds a BA in Microbiology from Trinity College Dublin as well as a Professional Diploma in University Teaching and PhD from University College Dublin
