Funding Scheme

The scheme provides funding for the purchase of equipment in Tallaght University Hospital that will improve the patient care. The focus of the scheme in areas such as:

Patient Comfort

Patient Experience

Service efficiencies for patients

Service development

How the equipment will improve services for patients directly or indirectly

Evaluation

How the equipment will be evaluated in relation to quality, effectiveness and efficiency

Timeline

Indicate when the equipment will be purchased and in use.

Feasibility or ease of implementation

Identification and mitigation of barriers to purchase and use of equipment.

AHF alignment

How the project aligns with to the mission and values of the Adelaide Health Foundation. https://adelaide.ie/

Salaries, including that of temporary project personnel
Staff training which is not related to the development and/or delivery of a patient centred improvement, directly associated with the purchase of equipment
Major Construction or Building Maintenance projects, including room upgrades.
Travel or Accommodation costs.
Equipment purchase not related to development or improvement of a patient service.

Applicants must supply proof of EMT approval with their application.
Application should include the name and contact details of a Project Manager/Lead who will undertake
operational responsibility for the implementation of the new piece of equipment
Post the purchase of the equipment, if any ongoing costs are required from the hospital, a business
case/acceptance of this is documented by relevant Department/EMT lead.
Status reports are provided to the Adelaide Health Foundation on request.
