The Adelaide Health Foundation, Student Nurse Bursary Scheme is open to student nurses attached to Tallaght University Hospital who are undertaking the Nursing Degrees (TR091, TR093 and TR911); 1st, 2nd and 3rd Year Nurse Students are eligible to apply. The Bursary must be re-applied for every year.

There are two strands to the scheme:
AHF Nursing Bursary – Standard Bursary
AHF Nursing Bursary – Mature Student

Eligibility for a Bursary:

Must be registered student at Trinity College Dublin.

Must be attached to Tallaght University Hospital.

1st, 2nd and 3rd Year Nurse Students are eligible to apply.

and Income limits for
Eligibility

The income of the applicant’s parents or guardians will be assessed in the case of applicants applying as school leavers between the ages of 17 and 23 years on or before 1 January of the year of entry.. [under 23 yrs old]

The income of the applicant’s parents or guardians will be assessed in the case of applicants applying as mature applicants but are dependant on parents. [over 23yrs old dependants]

The mature applicant’s own income will be assessed in the case of applicants who are living independently.

The income limits which determine eligibility for a bursary will in general be similar to those in operation in the Government education grants scheme [SUSI] but each case is considered on its own merits.

The assessment will be made on the income for the year previous to the year of entry. [last year’s income]

The Bursary must be re-applied for every year
